Cindi Henry, B.S., LCSW
Cindi Henry earned her Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Social Work degree from Jackson State University in 2005. She is currently pursuing her DSW from Barry University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social worker who has worked in the child welfare arena since 2004. She has a strong background in working with abused and neglected children, victims of domestic violence, and veterans, conducting home studies for foster care placements, and providing therapeutic services, including group therapy and individual counseling for the elderly population and children and youth. She believes in treating the whole person by utilizing the social work Strengths Perspective. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger management, crisis intervention, domestic violence, and life stressors. She also counsels with teens, adults, and families who deal with grief and loss, and uses mindfulness therapy to self-regulate clients when applicable.
She has served as President of the MSW Student Association at Jackson State University’s School of Social Work; founder of the Jackson State University School of Social Work Community Choir, Coordinator of the Social Work Alumni Association, received the Child Welfare Institute Scholarship while attending the master’s program at Jackson State University; Gerontology Certification (September 2019). She has presented at the Annual Child Welfare Institute Workshop sponsored by Jackson State University and served as a Field Instructor for the undergraduate and graduate programs at Jackson State University.
She is the owner and president of C & K Consulting, LLC, where she provides on-site training, professional development workshops, leadership training, and business operations consultation to local businesses in Mississippi. She is the Human Resources Director at Grace and Mercy Personal Care & Respite Services. She is a part-time Executive Director of
Alabaster Box Restoration Housing and Catalyst for Change (C4C). She is the Community Relations Director for New Vineyard Academy’s Community Partners in Education, and an active member of New Vineyard Church and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Jackson MS Alumnae Chapter).
