Experiential Expressive Creative Arts Therapy Group
Facilitated by Kellie Nason, LICSW and Stephanie Enos, CAGS,LMHC,CT,CPLBS
Group Goal : To bring together different creative processes—art, music, writing/poetry/journaling, and movement—to help express emotions, release stress, and explore self-awareness and self-discovery. Purpose : This group isn’t about making “perfect” or “beautiful” art. It’s about creating something real. Something that reflects how you feel inside. Together, we’ll build a safe, supportive space where self-expression is welcomed and healing from difficult or traumatic experiences can begin.
Creative Guidelines :
Everyone is creative.
There is no right or wrong way to express yourself.
Respect is key—for ourselves, other participants, facilitators, the space, and the supplies.
Share only when you feel ready—never pressured.
Only the artist can interpret their own work—this is a no-judgment zone.
Growth is encouraged, but always within safe and healthy boundaries.
The act of creating is part of the process of feeling better.
What to Expect : Along with creative expression, we’ll also learn about:
The mind–body connection.
How trauma and stress affect the nervous system and our overall well-being.
Overview : This is an experiential group where creativity meets healing. Through art, movement, music, and writing, you’ll have the chance to express yourself, release emotions, and gain new tools for self-discovery and recovery—all in a supportive, welcoming environment.
