Kelsey Sorensen, PA-BC
I am a board certified physician assistant who specializes in psychiatry. I completed my PA training at Bethel University and went to the University of Minnesota for my undergraduate education. I have been working in psychiatry since 2017.
I take a collaborative approach to care and enjoy working together with individuals to find a treatment plan that best supports their mental health. While this plan often includes medications, I view medications as only one piece of a treatment plan.
I will also encourage other approaches such as psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, sleep hygiene, and meditation. I take a thoughtful approach to prescribing and strive to use the lowest effective dose of medication and to minimize the amount of medications used. When working together, I value providing education about medications and making sure individuals are informed on the medications they are taking.
I have experience working with a wide variety of psychiatric disorders but have a special interest in working with depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and women’s mental health concerns.
