Linda Montminy, LMHC
Linda-Mary Montminy is a licensed Mental Health Counselor, since 2007. Linda is also an experienced educator as a certified School Guidance Counselor, since 2003, and a Qualified Practitioner Sexual Abuse Specialist in Child Abuse and in Sex Offender Specific Treatment. Linda has over 30 years’ experience working in the human service/mental health field with children, adolescent, adults and in the elderly/Geriatric’s population. Linda has an extensive background as a Clinical Therapist working with adolescents and adults in Sex Offender Specific Forensic Treatment and Education, treating the elderly/Geriatrics, providing therapeutic treatment for children with severe behavioral disorders, developmental disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and children with autism (on the spectrum), abuse and neglect cases, issues of domestic violence, crisis intervention and problem solving.
Linda has worked as a Clinical Director in a residential care setting and overseeing the milieu, and in a school setting and healthcare center. Linda has a background in Special Education (SPED), Child Protection and Investigations as a Social Worker (CPSW) and as a Clinical Supervisor in Home Base Therapeutic Services (HBTS) for families and their children within the community.
Linda’s forensic background experience is working with adults/inmates (both with men and women) in the criminal forensic field, who are incarcerated (within State Corrections/Prison Facility), and for both State and Federal individuals on probation within the community providing Sex Offender Treatment. Linda has a background providing Comprehensive Assessments in Intakes and Risk Assessments for Juveniles, Adults – Men and Women, and in the Static 99 Assessment, The Stable Assessment, The Abel Assessment and the J-Soap II Assessment.
Linda has a certification in the State of NH for the Superior and Probate Court as a Guardian ad Litem. Linda has certifications also in TF-CBT Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and in Fire Setting Treatment. Linda has presented at the MASOC/MATSA Conference – Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) in Massachusetts, and the Eighteenth Annual Conference – Attorney General’s Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect in New Hampshire.
Linda utilizes a Holistic Integrative approach that meets the Client’s needs that is strength based. When working with individuals in treatment, Linda looks to an Eclectic Therapeutic approach – Humanism/Existentialism in treatment that is Client Centered. Approaches in treatment may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Reality Therapy, as well as modalities in relapse prevention education and techniques, mindfulness/meditation and grounding techniques.
Linda believes in creating a safe and supportive space for individuals to be present….in order to feel comfortable in sharing their thoughts and feelings.
Linda has a non-shedding hypoallergenic dog, named Angel Raphael, he is a sweet, gentle and a loving Maltese, who is trained as a Psychiatric Service Therapy dog, and is frequently in the office. Angel Raphael is three years old, he’s small, and well-behaved. Angel Raphael enjoys coming into the office, and loves to greet and meet all patients.

Linda was on a Sabbatical and travelled on a “Holy Pilgrimage” to the Holy Land in 2023. Linda visited and experienced a “blessed journey” of all the Holy Land including Egypt, the Nile River, the Ancient Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, Cairo, the Red Sea, Israel, Bethlehem, the Sacred land of Jerusalem, and the walk of the Way of the Cross – Via Dolorosa, the Wailing Wall, and the Holy Sepulcher, the land of Jericho, Jaffa, Haifa, Nazareth, Galilee and the Dead Sea, where Linda experience the depth of the salt and cleansing mud bath of the sea, along with visiting the amazing Petra, and the Jordan. During which time, Linda was blessed … and Baptist in the Jordan River during her passage. Linda then travelled to Dubai in closing her divine passage.
Linda was also present while visiting the Holy Land … the start of the Gaza Strip in Israel - Air strikes on May 9-13, 2023, … just prior to her departure back home to the United States, when the war began.
