Marian Ruiz, MA
Marian Ruiz is a clinical psychology doctoral candidate at the Catholic University of America with extensive experience supporting individuals across the lifespan. She treats a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders (such as ADHD and ASD), substance use, suicidality, and behavioral challenges.
Marian has received advanced training in evidence-based treatments, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), for anxiety disorders, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), social anxiety, separation anxiety, and specific phobias.
Committed to fostering meaningful and lasting change, Marian takes a collaborative and cognitive-behavioral approach with her clients. In addition to her clinical work, she actively conducts research focused on deepening the understanding of suicidal thoughts and behaviors, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of available treatments.
